Q: What was it like growing up in Montreal in terms of influences on your senses of sexuality and erotic modelling?
A: The city itself is not as opened as Amsterdam or San Francisco would be, for example, but it’s certainly one of the most liberated in Canada, and North America for that matter. But I don’t think the city had any influence on me about why I got this latex fetish. I think it would have been the same if I would have lived anywhere else. I discovered latex while I was shopping at a sex shop. That could have happened anywhere, really. The only thing, though, is it was easier for me to nourish that fetish here, as Polymorphe Latex Fashion is also based in Montreal and access to latex became much easier for me than if I would have been living in Greenland, for example.

Q: What are the qualities of latex you enjoy, over other fetish materials like leather, lace, fur?
A:
Latex is a very shiny, sultry and soft material. To me, the feel of it is very unique and no other material can be compared to it, not even PVC (a plastic type), which is the closest to feel like latex. Rubber comes in a range of colours and see-through colours which you won’t get with leather and fur. Also, rubber is ecological and animal-friendly. It comes from a tree, not an animal. I do not like wearing leather very much and I’m totally against fur. I think not only is latex the most erotic material of all fetish materials, but also the most eccentric and original of all.

Q: What do you think of the range of characters you’re playing through latex like Supergirl?
A:
Oh, I just love playing characters! Every one of them makes me express a various range of emotions and lets me share it to the camera and my fans. While being Supergirl, I feel strong and invincible. As Catwoman, I feel naughty, dangerous and sexy. When I’m the nun, I feel vulnerable and yet strong. As a  pony, I feel joy and pride. It’s all the scenarios that I create in my mind that make me feel the character and be the character. I think it’s much kinkier to live the character than just being dressed up into a character. It’s a nice way for me to live my fantasies and share them with people.

Q: And you seem to like pink, cerise latex. Are you interested in maybe softer, comical qualities to your characters?
A:
Cerise pink, bubble gum pink, baby pink: I love pink! I do own a few pink latex outfits but I admit I have never personified a character dressed up in pink. Perhaps I could wear a blonde wig at some point and do Barbie! Or perhaps the readers have one to recommend to me?

Q: In your fetish marathon weekend video, there’s a Jacuzzi session. How did it feel in the waters in latex?
A:
My two DVDs, All Access 1 and 2, follow me during a three-day fetish event here in Montreal but also show my human side – and let me tell you, the human in me loves soaking like a tea bag in a hot Jacuzzi! Who doesn’t really? And it’s even funnier and sexier doing it all dressed up with a black latex catsuit. At first, the water stayed outside. But the more I was moving, the more the water was infiltrating my catsuit. Latex and water is a lovely match. When it runs on your body, it does feel like a gentle caress. It’s a very sensual experience.

Q: How do you think your latex character relates to your everyday life?
A:
All my friends are into the fetish scene or are very open-minded and love seeing what I’m doing. Even my gym trainer knows why I train so hard and he makes me work harder before travels and shootings. My latex modelling has become the centre of my life, really. I train to be in good shape for it, I shop for costumes, I prepare props, I even answer interviews related to it [laughs]. To me, latex has become the core of my world.

Q: How do you see the reality components of your videos that include your dressing, food and drink?
A:
Well, I’m human like every other, so yes, I do eat fast food, especially after a good night of fetish partying and drinking lots of shooters! The films are docu-drama-style films. I did want my fans to get to know me better and see the girl behind the model. I am very proud of who I am and have nothing to hide. I have kept it as real as possible, showing myself without makeup or even falling on the ground in front of medias. I like to see myself not just as the sexy latex model, but also the friendly girl next door.

Q: There’s an assumption: latex wear is hot, not only seductive in its gleam, but literally heating. Has it ever felt challenging to wear?
A:
Latex is hot when the surrounding atmosphere is hot. And believe me, it’s freaking cold when it’s cold! Let me tell you that my shooting on an ice rink covered with snow at -10 degrees Celsius [14 Fahrenheit] dressed up as an ice queen in latex was quite painful. My body was so cold I could not feel my feet anymore. Well, at the opposite, when it's hot, it can be very sweaty. I did a shoot in the Nevada desert around Las Vegas – sweat was dripping on my legs so I had to keep myself well hydrated. But in the end, the heat is nothing to me compared to the cold. At clubs and parties, the heat is never too much for me. I feel actually quite nice and warm, even dressed up in latex from head to toe.

Q: It’s interesting, the glimpse of an older female called the Baroness in the nocturnal fashion show in All Access 1. Do you aspire to continue with latex style when you get older?
A:
I had ideas in the past regarding custom-made latex outfits that Polymorphe kindly realized for me. But I am far from being a designer. I don’t think I could become one either. But maybe I could work with Polymorphe and launch the BB’s latex collection. That would be something!

Q: What do you think of the latex emporium Polymorphe which you visit in your videos?
A:
Polymorphe and I both started from scratch a decade ago. I needed latex outfits; he needed exposure. We both live in Montreal so it was and still is easy for us to meet and get new outfits (or design new ones). Polymorphe clothing sizes are accurate and he offers a wide selection of kinky hoods and sexy catsuits. Showing their workshop in my film sequel was sharing to the world how amazing Polymorphe grew and continue to grow up. I am awfully proud to see how much they have accomplished through the years – check my online behind-the-scenes video where I shot with Polymorphe’s pony rubber head – and how great it is to see them create their own latex sheets. That, my friend, is something only a few designers do and only one does it in Canada.

Q: When you’re sharing your latex pleasures and parties with friends it’s like there’s a sort of entourage effect and a lot of delight. What do you think of fetish, subsexual communities in Montreal overall?
A:
Although Montreal is a big business city in Canada, the fetish community is still growing up slowly and gently. Lately, the tendency is also very much oriented to the goth trend. So a bit less fetish than I think it used to be, but overall, it’s getting there and there are a few regular fetish parties here and there in the city, and bigger annual events too.

Q: How do you feel, hosting fetish events?
A:
I feel sick before I go on stage, and once on it I then feel like a fish in the water. I used to feel sick a month in advance but now it’s only a few hours before. Similarly, I think theatre actors must feel the same way. Since All Access 1, I have hosted a few parties, including Boston, Florida, Vancouver and Germany, so I am getting better at it and I can control better my nervousness. At the end of the night, I am always exhausted but happy.

Q: Are you interested in fetish cultures outside of Montreal?
A:
Yes, very much! Don’t get me wrong: I love my city. But it’s always interesting to visit new countries and assists to their parties. I have attended many, many fetish parties around the world. One of my favourite being the three-day fetish event in Germany called Fetish Evolution. Lots of fun over there!

Q: There’s a scene when Martin is asking the cab driver if he thinks fetish wear is typical. Are you interested in processes, mainstreaming latex and other fetish materials?
A:
To me, mainstreaming latex would make it lose its originality. I mean, a pair of jeans can be very sexy but it’s still casual wear. I don’t want latex to become casual. I like its extravagance and its uniqueness. I like that you have to take your time to shop for it, as you can’t find good taste outfits at every sex shop. And latex outfits are hand-crafted, so until they find out a way to mass produce them (maybe with the help of machines too), I doubt we will find latex at everyday stores.

Q: Do you think there are differences in how latex fetishism involves women and men?
A:
Well, I think a lot of men fantasize about some type of fetish but I can’t say if as many women do. Although I do have quite a few female fans, my fans are in majority men so I tend to know more about their point of view. Some are scared to talk about their fetish to their wives: they think they will be rejected. Some are scared to talk about it at all: they fear they will be seen as freaks. And some are looking to find the one they can experience their fetish with. At fetish events we see men and women, but also many single men. I have noticed at fetish events in North America, latex is worn more by women and men tend to prefer leather. In Europe, men and women wear latex and leather is rarely seen.

Q: What do you think of the male figure who’s highly costumed as a doll in All Access 2?
A:
To me, it doesn’t matter what is your fetish as long as you feel happy about it and that you live it without shame, and without hurting anyone. Don’t forget that the big parties, especially in Europe, look more like the big balls they used to have in the 16th century – lot of costumes, masks, feathers, corsets, etc. Those parties are the best opportunity to live a night of visual fantasies!

Q: Are you attracted to certain sorts of fetish or other sorts of clothing on men?
A:
I admit I like latex better on women and my bisexual side loves flirting with them a lot at fetish parties, more than with men. Clothing for men can be anything, really. I am not sure I do have a very strong fetish of any kind for them. Any clothing that makes them look good is sexy to me. Even cotton underwear can be the sexiest piece ever sometimes on a man.

Q: What do you think about being a sex symbol, in a way, for French-Canadian culture?
A:
It’s certainly a lovely compliment! And I sure hope that my photography helps to destroy taboos.

Q: Are there aspects of Montreal or Quebec that you find particularly attractive or seducing?
A:
Well, there is certainly something sexy about the French-Canadian culture that you find mostly here in the Quebec province. The people make the charm. They are open-minded yet a bit shy. Hospitable and generous. We love good meals with friends and we love to party hard. It’s a charming place to live and a very interesting place to visit. I heard in the USA they refer to Montreal as the North American Paris. I don’t know about that, but being that we are only a very little corner of all of North America that speaks French, it sure makes us very unique.

Q: What's next for you?
A:
I just finished shooting for a web TV show called Heroes of the North in which I play Crimson, a sexy but deadly assassin. She dresses up in red latex catsuit from head to toe and is a version of the Little Red Riding Hood gone bad. She is kick-ass and can be pretty mean if you get in her way. And her sidekick is nothing less than a wolf – a real one! They are in the post-production stage and I think the fans will love all the latex and crazy B-movie action with all the latex in there. They are also making action figures, so I can’t wait to see mine. The series should be starting online in August and for more info check out Heroesofthenorth.com, starting at the end of March. Until their official site is up, you can follow them on Facebook. I’m also planning new photo books soon to follow up on my previously published book Fetish Sex Symbol. New trips for photo shoots are coming up as well. My life is happily busy. I wouldn’t change anything!
