Royal Visit 1939

King George VI and Queen Elizabeth parade through the streets as Royal watchers gather for a glimpse of the reigning monarch in May 1939. King George, formerly Prince Albert, ascended to the throne after his brother Edward abdicated in order to marry divorcee Wallis Simpson.
