Canadian lasses have long been making the journey to Hollywood in search of stardom, actresses like Mary Pickford having paved the way. Toronto-born Pickford got her start in silent films and was, at one time, the most famous woman in the world. Here we see her in January 1932, enjoying her role as the first woman to serve as grand marshall of the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California.
