From an intimate afternoon showcase featuring Snowblink, Jason Collett and The Happiness Project to Plants and Animals and Matthew Good on the main stage at Yonge and Dundas Square, and a night at the Garrison with Doldrums and Yamantaka//Sonic Titan, photographer Andrew Colvin's whirlwind tour of NXNE 12 continues.

Punks and rockers packed Toronto's Dundas Square Thursday night at NXNE for plenty of moshing and crowd surfing. Later on in the evening, American shoegaze/noise band A Place to Bury Strangers - fresh off their tour with The Joy Formidable, tore apart the El Mocambo.

"A sandwich is a sandwich but it can have so many different things on it. You perform a sandwich every time you have lunch. Live music is a recreation of that sandwich every night."
