As the second day of Canadian Week approached, I decided that heading to the Chart Attack showcase at the Horseshoe Tavern would be a very safe bet for an awesome show. And I was not let down! Magneta Lane, Amos The Transparent, Green Go and Hollerado all gave their best and created an awesome atmosphere all night.Â

Fuelled by a passion for funk and a lot of hot chocolate, God Made Me Funky stopped by TORO to record the high-energy track "Cybersects" for an upcoming Garage Band video. Chez Nous 2 profiles the hottest electronic producers with roots in the city, as compiled by Vivie-Ann, the 24-year-old DJ who blends music with mischief and can list Ministry of Sound, Pacha and Cirque du Soleil as clients. TORO attended the Toronto CD release party at Loki Lounge on King Street, where Vivie-Ann worked the turntables.
Day 2 of VFest 09 from the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto featured headliners Nine Inch Nails, Pet Shop Boys and Our Lady Peace. In true festival form, TORO was there the entire day to take in as much live music as possible.
