Las Vegas has long been known as the unofficial gambling capital of the United States, nowhere else can one find so many casinos located in one place. And while its reputation for casino gambling endures, the city of Las Vegas is also known for other forms of entertainment, especially music. Many casinos also are well known for drawing some of music's top acts. Of course, one of the most iconic performers associated with Las Vegas is Elvis Presley.  To this day, many of the casinos there provide shows that continue to posthumously honour “The King.”

Among those is the Flamingo Casino, site of Legends in Concert. This popular show features many different performers paying tribute to some of the biggest names in entertainment. Not only has Presley been honoured but also Rod Stewart, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Madonna, The Blues Brothers, Tina Turner and Michael Jackson. In a recent performance, Elvis’s “Viva Las Vegas” closed out the show after his impersonator, Shawn Klush, performed other classic Elvis songs.

Harrah’s Casino also provides a tribute to Elvis with the Million Dollar Quartet show. This is a recreation of an actual musical event that occurred in 1956 at Sun Records Studio when Presley sat down with fellow performing legends Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for a jam session.

Other forms of entertainment can be found in Vegas especially at night - casino gambling is always a great option, though if you aren’t used to it you should try it out for free at a place like iPhonecasino.com.au first. If you're planning to attend an Elvis tribute show at the Flamingo or Harrah's, you might be tempted to try your luck at some of the tables or slots before or after the show.

Las Vegas is Viva Las Vegas: Presley, gambling and great music. You might also join the throngs who flock to the city to tie the knot. To further expand upon the Elvis theme, some locations do offer to have an Elvis impersonator to do the honours. What could be more fitting?
