The Zika virus is spreading quickly to new areas. We’ve heard about more than 300 cases of Zika virus infections across the United States. At the current rate – and with no cure currently available – a lot of public health experts are predicting the possibility of an outbreak. Even universities such as the University of Arizona are tacking active steps and pushing more information about Zika than ever.

Toronto is certainly a city with high risk of Zika virus infections. It is an international hub and there are a lot of Torontonians traveling to places like Africa, America and other regions with high cases of Zika infections. There are symptoms such as rashes and joint pain that you can look out for. The most accurate way to get a diagnosis, however, is to see a doctor and get yourself properly checked out.

Find out more about the Zika virus from the Targeting Zika: The Threat and Fight Against the Virus infographic created by the University of Arizona.
