NEW BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE DISC DUE MAY 4
rothbury_2009_broken_social_scene_crash_018.jpg

It’s not easy wrangling an army of indie rockers, and even less easy leading them through a modern classic (You Forgot it In People, 2002) and a challenging yet even more rewarding follow-up (BSS, 2005) but Kevin Drew is, as they say, the man.

All (except title and track listing and what not) is revealed in a lengthy interview with Pitchfork (link down below). The short and short of it: the LP will feature Feist, Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw of Metric, Amy Millan, and of course co-frontman Brendan Canning, who’s killer session with this very blog is viewable down there, too.

The record will probably be out May 4, and BSS will definitely be playing the Toronto Island Festival on June 19. You will be there or kindly be square.
